Costume Designers Guild Awards 2023: Photos — The Costume Designers Guild gathered together with top talent on Feb. 27 to celebrate the best on-screen looks of 2023. There to honor the best fashion film and TV had to offer, the stars were certainly dressed to impress at the event.

Austin Butler rocked the red carpet in another one of the neo-retro looks which have become his uniform this awards season. He paired a classic black jacket with satin lapels over a sheer, black shirt unbuttoned to tease a bit of chest. Shiny shoes, textured blonde locks, and a touch of stubble tied the look together.

While the stars may have reigned supreme on the red carpet, the film and TV worlds’ favorite fashion designers were the real focus of the evening. Catherine Martin took home the Period Film award for Elvis, often an indicator of Oscar gold. Shirley Kurata won for the explosion of colorful looks in A24’s Everything Everywhere and Jenny Eagan earned a trophy for Netflix’s stylish Glass Onion.

Angela Bassett — Angela Bassett was the epitome of glamour at the CDG Awards. Her Moschino jacket featured a dark train with a crimson lining and she wore a chic hat.

Ashley Park — Ashley Park glowed in bright blue Gaurav Gupta at the event. Her dress had a long train which revealed chunky boots below.

Christina Ricci

Christina Ricci — Christina Ricci was simply smoldering in a wine-red dress at the 25th Costume Designers Guild Awards. Her look featured a plunging neckline clasped together with golden birds while she showed some more skin with some cutouts and a leggy slit.

Shirley Kurata

Shirley Kurata — Shirley Kurata looked darling in sparkling white at the 25th Costume Designers Guild Awards. She matched her dress’ sheer, rhinestone-emblazoned shell with a matching headband by Lele Sadoughi and opted for silver shoes. Shirley won the award for Excellence in Sci-Fi / Fantasy Film for her extensive costuming on Everything Everywhere All at Once.

Bette Midler — Bette Midler looked like pure elegance at 25th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards. Her short-sleeved black dress was decorated with tons of jewels, which played off her metallic clutch and silver locks perfectly.

Cate Blanchett

Cate Blanchett — Cate Blanchett suited up in Balmain for the event. Her jacket featured sculptural shoulders and ornate toggle buttons and was paired with a polka-dot blouse.

Jenny Eagan — Jenny Eagan sparkled in a metallic suit at the awards. She took home the trophy for Excellence in Contemporary Film for Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.

Catherine Martin

Catherine Martin — Catherine Martin had us tickled pink with her look at the 25th Costume Designers Guild Awards. Looking like a real fashion icon, she teamed a peachy leather jacket with a glittering dress and coral glasses.

Catherine won the Excellence in Period Film award for her work on Elvis, often a top indicator for the Academy Awards trophy. The Aussie designer already has four Oscars, winning for her work on Moulin Rouge! and The Great Gatsby.
