Chris Hemsworth — Movie Star — He’s come from down under to travel all the way to Valhalla and beyond. Park Island’s own Chris Hemsworth has conquered Hollywood, as the man millions know as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has become one of the biggest stars in movies today. He first got his success locally by portraying Kim Hyde in the Australian TV series ‘Home and Away.’ After a few roles in 2009’s ‘Star Trek’ and ‘A Perfect Getaway,’ his breakthrough came in 2001 with ‘Thor. From there, he’s soared to new heights of success. Along with the ‘Thor’ sequels, Chris has appeared in the ‘Avengers’ franchise, took a dramatic turn in 2013’s ‘Rush,’ transformed himself drastically for ‘In The Heart Of The Sea,’ and starred opposite Kristen Stewart in ‘Snow White and the Huntsman.’ While his professional life continues to skyrocket, his personal life soars even above that. He wed Elsa Pataky in 2010, and have three children – a daughter and twin sons.
