The love story of Chris Brown and Rihanna is a complicated one. The singers dated from 2008 to 2009, and ultimately split after he was arrested for physically assaulting her following a night out together. Disturbing photos of Rihanna’s bruised and bloody face later made their way around the internet after the incident caused her to be hospitalized. Chris pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to five years of probation, as well as community service and domestic violence counseling. Despite the severity of the altercation, Chris and Rihanna briefly reconciled in 2012. They even collaborated on a few songs together, but broke things off for good in 2013. Chris and RiRi have since spoken about their past romance in interviews, and have moved on from their relationship woes.
