‘Outer Banks’ stars Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline let their on-screen chemistry spark a real-life romance.

The couple first met in May 2019 while working on the Netflix hit, where they play star-crossed lovers John B and Sarah Cameron. Fans first began relationship speculation when the pair began doing joint interviews while promoting Outer Banks, which premiered in April 2020. The duo confirmed that they were dating in June 2020 when Chase posted an Instagram captioned, “Cats outta the bag.”

Though the couple earned the Best Kiss award at the 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards in May, they decided to go their separate ways by November 2021. Still, fans are hoping for a reunion. The pair appear to be close friends and were spotted spending time together during Thanksgiving 2021.

While Outer Banks fans are still waiting to see if the show will get a 3rd season, the previous seasons have been hits for Netflix. The streamer said that the series raked in 322.59 million views globally between July 26th and August 1st.
