‘Chapelwaite’ is a new series that premieres August 22 on EPIX. The show is based on the short story ‘Jersusalem’s Lot,’ written by horror icon Stephen King. ‘Jerusalem’s Lot’ was originally published in Stephen King’s 1978 collection ‘Night Shift.’ It has been adapted a number of times over the years — on the big screen and on TV.
‘Chapelwaite’ revolves around Captain Charles Boone, who relocates his family of three children to his hometown of Preacher’s Corners, Maine, after his wife dies at sea. After his return, Charles has to face the secrets of his family’s past and fight to end the darkness that has plagued the Boones for generations. ‘Chapelwaite’ stars Adrien Brody as Captain Charles Boone. The show also stars Emily Hampshire, Jennifer Ens, Sirena Gulamgaus, and Ian Ho. The series will consist of 10 episodes. ‘Chapelwaite’ was filmed in Nova Scotia.
