All hail the ‘Princess of Staten Island,’ WWE’s Carmella! The Superstar, born Leah Van Dale, joined the sports entertainment juggernaut in 2013. Since then, she has risen to the top of the ranks of the WWE. Though many doubted her ability to succeed in the world of professional wrestling, Carmella proved them all wrong. She found success in the highly athletic world of NXT, the WWE’s developmental program, and when she was called up to the main roster, it wasn’t long before she had gold around her waist. After winning the first-ever women’s Money In The Bank match, albeit through nefarious means, she cashed in the ‘anywhere, anytime’ championship contract on Charlotte Flair, which led to Carmella’s first SmackDown Women’s Championship. In 2019, she won the women’s Battle Royal at WrestleMania 35, indication that Mella equals money, now and forever.
