Calista started her career in theater but didn’t skyrocket to stardom until she won the role of a lawyer dealing with her wacky coworkers and complicated love life in Ally McBeal. Calista played Ally McBeal from 1997 to 2002 and gained a Golden Globe Award in 1998 for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – along with four more nominations in the same category. She was nominated for three Emmy Awards, as well.

After Ally McBeal, Calista moved on to the ensemble dramedy Brothers & Sisters, playing Kitty Welker from 2006 to 2011 opposite onscreen husband Rob Lowe. Along with countless other roles in film, TV, and stage, she joined the cast of Supergirl in 2015 to play Cat Grant. Calista has been married to Harrison Ford since 2010, though they have been together since 2002 after meeting at the Golden Globe Awards.
