Brie Larson — From a small room to the edge of the universe, Brie Larson’s success knows no bounds. Born Brianne Sidonie Desaulniers in Sacramento, California, the woman who grew up to become Brie Larson was the youngest student admitted to the American Conservatory Theater’s training program. As a young actor, Brie appeared in the sitcom Raising Dad and had supporting roles in films Hoot, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, and 21 Jump Street. She also appeared as a troubled teenage daughter in United States of Tara. Her breakout came in 2013 with the independent drama Short Term. From there, she landed bigger roles in The Spectacular Now and Trainwreck. However, the best was yet to come. In 2015, she had a career-defining role in Room, which won her the Golden Globe, BAFTA and Academy Award for Best Actress. From there, Brie gave big-budget blockbusters a shot by appearing in Kong: Skull Island and by taking on the titular role in the Marvel superhero movie, Captain Marvel.
