Michael Phelps may have 28 olympic medals to his name – making him the most decorated Olympian of all time – but his son Boomer is the real star of the show. The adorable son of Michael and Nicole Johnson stole the spotlight throughout the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. While his dad was in the pool, all eyes were on the bub. Little Boomer Phelps was born in May 2016, ahead of the summer Olympics, and became an overnight sensation. His Instagram following has grown to more than 650,000 people, where he “posts” photos with his parents, collabs with brands like Colgate and even shows off his swimming skills. Boomer is now a big brother to two younger siblings, and although Michael has said he would never force his children to follow in his footsteps, his eldest son is already showing signs that he’s inherited his dad’s amphibian-like genes. We love keeping up with Boomer’s aquatic adventures on Instagram! In this picture, mom Nicole holds Boomer at the 2016 US Olympic Swimming Trials in Omaha, Nebraska
