Blackpink Makes A United Front At 2016 Melon Music Awards — BLACKPINK is a South Korean girl group, and they’re taking the entire world by storm! The group is made up of four members: Jisoo, Jennie, Rose and Lisa. The ladies made their debut back in August 2016 and have since become the highest-charting female K-pop act. They released their debut album, Blackpink in your Area’ in December 2018, and they’ve had five songs reach No. 1 on the U.S. World Billboard charts: Boombayah, Playing With Fire, As If It’s Your Last, Ddu-Du Ddu-Du and Kill This Love. They’ve also collaborated on the track “Kiss and Make Up” with Dua Lipa. In 2019, the foursome became the first female K-pop group to play the Coachella Music Festival. This historic event also marked their first full-length United States show, and was followed by the U.S. leg of their 2019 world tour.
