Bill Cosby: Photos — Bill Cosby was once a beloved comedian and actor, who started his career as a stand-up comic. He eventually rose to prominence for his portrayal of the character, Fat Albert, and soon became known as ‘America’s Dad’ while starring in his sitcom ‘The Cosby Show’ from 1984-1992. He continued to appear on television shows throughout the 90s and early 2000s, and also became the host of ‘Kids Say The Darndest Things.’

Starting in the 2010s, Bill has been accused of sexual misconduct, sexual assault and more by various women, but has repeatedly denied all of the allegations. Many of the statute of limitations ran out on the accusations, but several civl lawsuits and one criminal lawsuit were filed against the actor.

He was sentenced to three-10 years in prison in Sept. 2018 after being found guilty on three counts of aggravated assault. The verdict stemmed from accusations made by Andrea Constand, concerning an incident that took place in January 2004. In June 2021 he was released after prosecutors were found to have broken a previous deal with the comic. The charges were fully overturned.

Cosby was found liable of assaulting a teen girl in the 70s by a civil jury in Jun. of 2022. He has been ordered to pay the victim $500k.
