But their road to the final rose wasnt without thorns. In May 2018, just as the season begininng to air, news broke that Garret had hit the like button on some very hateful posts on Instagram. The posts mocked Parkland kids, the transgender community, immigrants, feminists, and more. Becca quickly stepped up to beg fans to give Garret a chance, prompting veiwers to guess [correctly] that he was going to win her final rose. Garret also begged forgivness. He gave an on-air apology on After the Final Rose, where he addressed those Instagram likes and the couple did their best to move past the controversy. Although the happy couple hasn’t gotten married yet they have every intention of making their love official — when they time is right. For now they are enjoying a very long engagement.
