AnnaSophia Robb, born December 8, 1993, is an actress who first made a name for herself as the titular character in Samantha: An American Girl Holiday. She went on to star as Violet Beauregarde in Tim Burton’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in 2005, and in Bridge to Terabithia in 2007, which garnered her major recognition with two Young Artist Awards. Her subsequent film roles included Race to Witch Mountain (2009), Soul Surfer (2011), and The Way, Way Back (2013). Most notably, she played the lead role of Carrie Bradshaw on The CW’s The Carrie Diaries, which was a prequel to Sex and The City. In 2019, she played the role of Gypsy Blanchard’s neighbor Lacey in the award-winning Hulu miniseries The Act.
