‘American Idol’ is back for season 19 with so many incredible singers. Take a look at photos of the contestants, judges, and more.

‘American Idol’ Season 19

‘American Idol’ Season 19 — Season 19 of ‘American Idol’ premiered on ABC on Feb. 14, 2021. This was the show’s fourth season since being re-booted on ABC in 2018. Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie returned as judges for the fourth season in a row, with Ryan Secrest back as host and Bobby Bones still in play as a special mentor. Despite the coronavirus, ‘American Idol’ managed to safely conduct auditions with talented singers from across the country at the end of 2020.

The coronavirus actually hit in the middle of the show’s 18th season, but ‘Idol’ managed to finish out the live shows with virtual performances. With several months to prepare before season 19, the artists were able to be back in-person for their auditions and performances.
