Alicia Silverstone first captured the spotlight at 16 when she starred in Aerosmith’s “Cryin’” music video, and soon after she cemented pop culture status with her role in Clueless (1995). Over the years, she’s appeared in films like Batman & Robin, Excess Baggage, Beauty Shop, and even had her own TV series, Miss Match (2003). Silverstone also stands out for her activism — she’s long embraced veganism, endorsed PETA campaigns, and authored the bestselling The Kind Diet.
In recent years, Silverstone has stayed busy reinventing her career. In 2025, she starred in the erotic thriller Pretty Thing, which received a limited theatrical and digital release. She also leads Irish Blood, a crime drama series on Acorn TV about an American lawyer returning to Ireland to untangle family secrets. The show was renewed for a second season in September. Looking ahead, Silverstone joins Yorgos Lanthimos’ Bugonia, slated for U.S. release in October 2025, where she plays Sandy in the film’s wild, surreal narrative.
Moreover, Silverstone is set to reprise her iconic role as Cher Horowitz in a Clueless sequel series in development at Peacock, where she’ll also serve as executive producer.
