Alexa PenaVega: Then & Now — Alexa PenaVega, born August 27, 1988, started young as one of the leads of ‘Spy Kids’ in 2001 and has been entertaining since. The movie raked in over $147million at the box-office and spawned 2 sequels. From there, Alexa would star in another teen hit, 2004’s ‘Sleepover’. In In 2009 she starred in the ABC Family series ‘Ruby & the Rockits’. Hallmark became Alexa’s go-to as a grown-up actress. Since 2016, she’s starred in the made-for-television films ‘Ms. Matched’, ‘Destination Wedding’, and ‘Christmas Made to Order’. She also appeared on ‘Dancing With The Stars’ In 2015.

As for her personal life, Alexa is a mother of three with husband Carlos Pena. When they married, they decided to combine their names, hence PenaVega.

She’s practically grown up before our eyes. Here, the young actress is seen at the world premiere of ‘Spy Kids’ on March 18, 2001.
