If you ever need some motivation from a fierce female role model, look no further than Abby Wambach. Two-time Olympic gold medalist for the USA women’s soccer team, Wambach is an extremely fierce woman, both on and off the soccer field. Born in 1980, Wambach was always a natural in the sport, and shined bright playing her position of forward all throughout high school and college. After leaving the University of Florida, (where she was named SEC “Freshman of the Year” and also won various other collegiate awards) she went on to achieve the ultimate dream for any athlete: attending the Olympics.

Wambach is not only a queen in the world of women’s athletics, but is also a loving wife. She married Glennon Doyle in 2017, and lives in Naples, Florida. Take a look through this gallery for pics of Wambach, such as in this portrait photo, which was taken when she attended the ESPY Awards in 2016. She’s a soccer rockstar!
