ABBA

ABBA — ABBA is one of the most iconic musical acts of all time. Comprised of the former couples Agenetha Faltskog and Bjorn Ulvaeus as well as Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, the band formed in 1972, after each of the members had begun their musical careers separately. The band skyrocketed to fame when they won the 1974 Eurovision song contest with their hit ‘Waterloo.’ After the success on the popular song contest, they became international sensations, with tons of hits, including ‘Dancing Queen’, ‘Gimmie! Gimmie! Gimmie!’ and more. The band’s 1981 record ‘The Visitors’ proved to be their last. By that time, both Agnetha and Bjorn had split up in 1979, and Benny and Anni-Frid split up in 1981. They performed in a 1982 TV special but quietly stopped making music as a group after that.

The band formally reunited in 2016, after occasional one-offs, and they released their first album in 40 years ‘Voyage’ in 2021. The band is expected to perform a residency of London concerts in 2023.
