50 Cent smiles — 50 Cent aka Curtis Jackson III first came on the national music scene when his ‘Guess Who’s Back?’ album impressed fellow rapper Eminem in 2002. Eminem invited him to fly to Los Angeles, where he was introduced to Dr. Dre, and he ended up signing a $1 million contract. 50 went on to release a mixtape and recorded a track that appeared on the soundtrack of Eminem’s movie ‘8 Mile’. He released his second studio album (after signing the contract), ‘Get Rich or Die Tryin’ in Feb. 2003 and it went on to become a major success. With hit songs like ‘In da Club’ and ’21 Questions’, 50 became the rapper everyone was talking about. Since his start, he has gone on to release several more albums and has also starred in film and televison. He is also the founder of many corporate entities, including the G-Unit Foundation, Inc., SMS Audio and SK Energy.
