Britney Spears’ debut memoir The Woman in Me has arrived, and the singer is clearly happy with the response so far! After the book was released, the singer, 41, thanked her fans for picking up copies and making it the highest selling celebrity memoir of all time in an Instagram post on Tuesday, October 24. “It’s happening,” she began her thankful caption.

The post had a promo photo of the book’s cover as well as a video promoting the memoir. Punctuated with fun emojis, Britney thanked her many fans for their support and interest in her story. “My book is the highest-selling celebrity memoir in history and it’s only day 1,” she wrote. “Thank you to the fans who have been so supportive! Love you all!”

The Woman in Me is Britney’s first book ever, and it has so many never-before-known details about the singer’s life. She opens up about her childhood, early career, and relationships throughout the memoir. Before the full book hit shelves, the excerpts had already made headlines, with many of Britney’s claims about her romance with Justin Timberlake as well as her younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears getting tons of attention.

With the response to her book, before it was even released, Britney also released a statement saying that she was trying to move on from the past. “My book’s purpose was not to offend anyone by any means,” she wrote on Instagram. “Most of the book is from 20 years ago …. I have moved on and it’s a beautiful clean slate from here !!!! I am here to establish it that way for the rest of my entire life!”

In another post, Britney admitted that she was trying to block out the critics and was hanging out with her dogs instead. “Been so busy lately and there are so many hard things to read in the news about my book !!! Writing the book was so hard,” she wrote. “Then I woke up this morning and said it’s all relative nothing really matters at this point.”
