She added the hashtags, “#YesItWasReallySalvia” and “#IfYouFindWeedThatDoesThisToYouSHARE” to the post as well.

In the clips, which caused controversy back when it was first leaked by TMZ in 2010, the singer can be seen smoking from the bong with a bunch of people before saying, “OK, I’m about to lose it now” with a laugh. She then can’t stop laughing as the person behind the camera tries to talk to her. It’s unclear what happened next but the videos went viral and were a big deal for Miley at the time.

The actress and singer, who’s loved singing and dancing since she was a little girl like in the video below, gave off a squeaky clean image due to her memorable role on the Disney show Hannah Montana from 2006-2011, so when the smoking video came out, it shocked many fans and viewers of the show. She made headlines for the situation and some media reports even questioned if it would ruin her career.

Although marijuana was legal in California, which is where the video as filmed, for medicinal use at the time, TMZ reported that Miley was smoking salvia, a hallucinogenic herb that’s legal in many states, including California. She didn’t let the experience stop her from admittedly smoking marijuana, which was eventually legalized for recreational use in California in 2016, in the future though, and she even went on to tell Rolling Stone that it was “the best drug on earth” in 2013.

Miley’s definitely come a long way since the days of the controversial video. As a successful star who’s starred in numerous television series and films, and released seven studio albums, she’s proved that she can do things her way and stay happy while she’s at it! She’s also been able to be open about her struggles in the past and present and it’s been inspiring for many of her supporters.

We can’t wait to see what else Miley has up her sleeve soon!
