Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson aren’t letting the distance come between them this holiday season. Although the 29-year-old NBA star left for Boston after signing a two-year deal with the Celtics worth a reported $19 million, HollywoodLife spoke EXCLUSIVELY with multiple sources who said that Khloe, 36, is still “excited”. That’s because she knows Christmas will be memorable for the pair and their daughter True Thompson, 2, despite potentially not being together.
“Khloe would love for her and True to be with Tristan on Christmas Day and although she’s trying to figure something out, she understands he’s playing that day and that there’s plenty of time to celebrate the holidays and still make it special,” one pal close to the KarJenners said while noting Tristan’s game against the Brooklyn Nets on Christmas Day.
“Khloe also knows that she and True will be in Boston plenty so she’s not stressing,” the source added. “She’s excited because they’ll make Christmas memorable for True regardless. Whether that means celebrating a few days early or FaceTiming with Tristan so he can watch her open gifts, they’ll find a way to make it work no matter what.”
“Khloe is going to pick and choose the times she is going to be with Tristan while he embarks on the new season with his new team,” another insider said. Khloe was previously living part time in Cleveland, Ohio, while Tristan was playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers. “There are so many protocols now that travel will be tough and it’s important for her to be with True. She will see Tristan and Tristan will see True along the way. They have had to do this before when he was in Cleveland. They will just take it day by day and do what is safe at the end of the day.”
Although Khloe may be staying behind in LA, the Keeping Up With the Kardashian star received the sweetest care package from the Boston Celtics on Dec. 10! The team addressed an adorable gift basket to Khloe and True sent straight to their Calabasas home which the reality star gushed about on her Instagram Stories. A note included said it was an official “welcome to the team” gesture before the start of the NBA season on December 22.
“Khloe was so touched by the gift Tristan’s new team sent to her and True, it was so nice to be included that way, she feels welcome and is looking forward to spending time in Boston,” one pal said. “Having Tristan so far away all of the sudden is a big adjustment for True but they are doing lots of video calls with Tristan and they’ll see him as soon as possible, it’s just a matter of playing it safe and smart. But Khloe definitely will be spending time in Boston, she’s excited about that.”
