While bringing major cheer to viewers during ‘Christmas in Rockefeller Center,’ Gwen Stefani looked amazing in a festive ensemble as she belted out one of her holiday hits!
Things were a bit more low key at this year’s Christmas in Rockefeller Center event due to the coronavirus, but the holiday cheer was definitely still in the air. Gwen Stefani was one of the celebrity guests for the special, and she rocked out to her Christmas hit, “Here This Christmas,” to help kick off the holiday season in New York City, while performing from a remote location. Gwen looked amazing in a red and white, plaid outfit. The ensemble featured a high-waisted skirt and matching crop top, with mesh material across her midsection. Oh, and there was a giant hat to match, too!
Because of coronavirus, there was no audience allowed at the Christmas in Rockefeller taping this year. However, the evening was still jam-packed with fun and epic performances. Other stars who took the stage included Dan + Shay, Meghan Trainor, Dolly Parton, Kelly Clarkson, Tori Kelly, Brett Eldredge and more. As usual, the event was hosted by Today Show co-anchors, Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, Craig Melvin and Al Roker.
This year, the Rockefeller Center tree hailed from Oneonta, New York. It stands at 75 feet tall and 45 feet wide and weighs 11 tons. Ahead of Christmas in Rockefeller, the tree was decorated with more than 50,000 lights and topped with a Swarovski star. Now that the tree has been lit, you can stop by and visit it in-person, no tickets required (but please wear a mask)!
Meanwhile, this is quite an exciting holiday season for Gwen. In October, she got engaged to Blake Shelton after five years of dating, so the lovebirds will be spending their first Christmas together as an engaged couple. Gwen is a sucker for the holidays, and dropped her first Christmas-themed record, You Make It Feel Like Christmas, in 2017. The album features both original festive tunes, as well as covers of holiday classics.
Gwen is currently a coach on season 19 of The Voice along Blake, Kelly and John Legend. There are currently nine artists left in the competition (John has three singers left, while all of the other coaches have two). This is Gwen’s fifth time as a coach on the show and she has yet to win, so she’s definitely itching to get that victory this time around!
