Five years after tying the knot, Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello’s ‘amor’ is still going strong. The couple celebrated their wedding anniversary by sharing a romantic look back on that special day.
It’s hard to believe that it’s been five years since Sofiia Vergara and Joe Manganiello walked down the aisle, but it’s true: November 22, 2020, marked the Modern Family and Magic Mike stars’ fifth wedding anniversary. To celebrate, Joe, 43, and Sofia, 48, each shared a romantic moment from their 2015 wedding, along with a sweet message. “Feliz 5th anniversary !!!@joemanganiello [heart emoji x 3] you!” wrote Sofia while sharing a picture taken as she and her new husband cut their wedding cake (click here to see.)
“Happy Fifth Anniversary, mi amor. I love you so much,” Joe captioned the video he posted to his Instagram on Nov. 22. The clip showed Joe and Sofia taking their first dance as husband and wife. As the band played a rendition of Frank Sinatra’s “You Look Lovely Tonight,” Joe led his new bride out onto the dance floor. From there, these two enjoyed the moment, fully enthralled in happy, wedded bliss.
Sofia and Joe were married at The Breakers Resort in Palm Beach, roughly a year after they started dating. She was a vision in white, clad in a stunning Zuhair Murad wedding dress, while he looked dapper in his tux. The two tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in front of nearly 400 guests – including Sofia’s Modern Family costars like Ty Burrell, Eric Stonestreet, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson. After the ceremony, Sofia shared tons of pics on her Instagram, including one shot of all her friends seated at a long table covered in red roses.
“I can’t wait to see what her wedding is like!” Nolan Gould, who played Luke Dunphy on the show, told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY, ahead of the ceremony. “I have a feeling that since Sofia is very flamboyant and loves doing things big and crazy, that I am sure there will be hundreds of people and things hanging from the ceiling with like dancers dancing around between tables. I expect it to be a big show!”
Since that day, the two have been the definition of a happy couple. Recently, the two purchased a $26 million mansion in Los Angeles. The 17,000 square foot estate in Beverly Park features six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms (and probably enough space for Joe to build an even more epic Dungeons & Dragons gaming room). As for what Joe and Sofia might do in the other rooms of their new love shack, she gave a hint when she left a very flirty comment on his Instagram in May. Here’s to another five years!
