Ben Affleck, 44, and Jennifer Garner, 44, are adopting a girl, OK! magazine reports in their Oct. 24 issue. Whoa! “They’re in the middle of plans to adopt, and they’re thrilled,” a source close to the couple tells the mag. “They’ve been talking about it for years, since before Jen got pregnant with Samuel. Adopting is something that she feels very passionate about,” the insider adds. This is huge — it would mean Violet, 10, Seraphina, 7, and Samuel, 4, would all become big siblings!

Though Ben and Jen called it off last year, they’ve been seen together along with the kids plenty of times since then. Insiders say that Ben has moved back into their Pacific Palisades house, and that he an Jen are back in action as an official couple. “They’ve fully recommitted to their marriage,” one source claims, adding that she can’t wait to adopt with him. “Jen knows it’s the biggest commitment Ben could possibly make, to become a father again, and she was so happy that she broke down in tears.” Aww!

Finally, a source explains that adopting is a way for Ben and Jen to feel like a team again. “They’ve had their problems, but parenting is one thing those two are united on,” the insider says. So do they want to adopt a boy or a girl? “Ben wanted Jen to choose the gender, and she definitely wants another girl. He’s like putty in Violet and Seraphina’s hands, and she figures a baby girl gives Ben another chance to walk a daughter down the aisle,” a source reveals. Thinking ahead, much?!
