The apocalypse has proved brutal for Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) and her family, and unfortunately those circumstances haven’t changed a bit now that they are in Mexico. When walkers slowly but surely start to takeover a resort that she and her family are raiding for supplies and shelter, Alicia is forced to make a life-or-death decision in just a matter of seconds.
As you can see in the clip, Alicia comes out of the safety of her hotel room only to find a small batch of walkers in the hallway. She’s searching for Ofelia (Mercedes Mason), who went missing in the previous episode, and unfortunately there’s no sign of her as she makes her way through the hallway. A noise leads the walkers in her direction, so she heads down the opposite end of the hallway towards the elevators — only to encounter a larger group of walkers. Not good!
With nowhere to go and everything to lose, Alicia uses her adrenaline spike to pull open the sliding doors of the elevator shaft. She’s only on the second floor and the elevator is sitting on the first floor so it’s not a large drop, but it’s clear it would still be extremely painful. As the walkers get closer and closer Alicia finally jumps and grabs onto the wires of the elevator, holding on for dear life as walkers reach out into the open space to grab her. So scary!
