Blue Ivy Carter, 4, was already over the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards when she arrived on the red carpet, hand in hand with her mother, Beyonce, 34. As photographers took pictures of the hip hop prince, Blue was busy giving her mama the business, totally shaking her head and leading her away from the paps. So young and so sassy! Bey raised her little girl well.

Even though she was in no mood for pictures, Bey’s baby girl was probably the best-dressed person on the carpet (after her mother, of course.) When she was feeling like showing off, Blue owned the carpet, walking along in a champagne-colored tule and her very own crown. Queen Bey? More like Empress Blue Ivy. All hail!

Though all eyes were on blue, Bey certainly captures people’s attention with her sheer sequin gown with a giant feather ruffle around her neck. The woman who has dominated 2016 looked insanely regal, as if she was arriving for a royal ball.

This isn’t the first time this month that Bey and Blue have dressed alike. The two sported matching outfits while taking a fabulous yacht ride during an Italian vacation. They also were spotted in near-identical floral outfits while taking Paris by storm. Paris, Italy and now – the VMAs!

Where was Jay Z, 46, to complete the family picture? Jay didn’t walk the carpet with his wife and daughter. It’s a shame, because he has gotten in on the “matching outfit” game, as well. When Jay and Bey attended the Hands of Stone premiere on Aug. 22, they both wore matching grey business suits! Perhaps Jay didn’t feel like donning a flowery gown?

What do you think about Blue Ivy’s sass towards her mother, HollywoodLifers? Isn’t it the most adorable thing ever?
