Jennifer Aniston likely didn’t expect to be brought to tears in an interview, but she didn’t hold anything back when she was asked an intense question! The 47-year-old actress may be in a happy relationship with Justin Theroux now, but she is clearly still affected by her past loves — including Brad Pitt!
An audience member asked Jen if she “ever woke up in the morning and didn’t know who she was.” While it’s unclear what exactly sparked a fan to ask something that is so emotionally loaded, Jennifer wasn’t hesitant in responding (that is, after she got a little choked up), and admitted that she does have those kind of mornings!
“That moment has happened to me, like I can’t even, there’s not enough fingers and toes in this entire room to count how many times that has happened,” Aniston replied while dabbing her teary eyes with a kleenex. “I mean, my gosh, we’re all human beings at the end of the day, whether we’re a waitress or a baker or a student or whatever we are, at the end of the day you kind of hit walls and think you can’t go any farther and think this is too much, my heart can’t take it or the pain is too great. Am I good enough? Will I survive? You just have to sort of somehow miraculously overcome.”

Although Jennifer didn’t make any mention of Brad specifically, their 2005 split was so public that it’s easy to assume that at least some part of her emotionally charged answer was attributed to her ex. And let’s not forget that she also dated John Mayer in 2008, so he may have something to do with her crying too!
Even if heartbreak didn’t play into Jennifer’s emotional response, it sounds like she has been in some rather troubled situations in her life. But with Justin by her side now, Jen is seemingly happier than ever — so hopefully next time she cries in an interview, it’ll be happy tears!
