Amrezy X Lipland
Amrezy’s newest Lipland liquid lipstick creations were released right after Memorial Day, and they are legit selling like hotcakes! Her newest shades include Retrograde, Spotlight, and Baked; but she also has Montenegro (which was a shade Kim K featured on her app), Rezy, and Brooklyn. Out of Amra’s newest collection, she says, “Retrograde is the bold one out the group. Baked is the go to favorite. And Spotlight is for when you want the perfect nude pink.”
The beauty guru’s lip collection is really special to her, and it’s clear she really worked hard — paying attention to every single little detail. She told us, “I wanted to add three new shades that were unique, wearable and fun at the same time.” She even put a ton of thought into the names of each product.
For Retrograde, she said “I’m always talking about the planets being in Retrograde. It’s a frequent topic I discuss, so I couldn’t think of a better color representing Retrograde than a dark grey. It just felt right.” For Baked, she said, “[this] was inspired by the fact that I’m always baked. I won’t get into details, but my fans know what I mean.” So cheeky! And for those of you who might not get what she means, we’re guessing she’s talking about the major makeup trend of baking yo face ;) Finally, she said, “Spotlight was actually suggested by my 16 year old brother, he thought of my life and said Spotlight (lol) I was like yup that’s it.”
Amrezy’s Fave Makeup Trends
You’ll always catch Amrezy looking straight suh-natched. Her makeup is always so on point — just check out her Instagram! Her contour and highlight are always on so much fleek. So, obviously, we also wanted to know what some of her fave trends for summer are. She said, “My favorite makeup trend right now is applying a powder highlighter on top of my lipstick, mainly in the center. Makes the lips look pouty and full.” And she went on to say, “My favorite highlighter is Mac Oh Darling. I like to use the Tatcha dewy spray to really make the highlight pop.”
We also had to ask her about contouring vs. nontouring, because as we all know, Kim Kardashian has recently written off countouring (for now, at least) and is all about nontouring. To which Amra responded, “Contour all day everyday!! I just love how contouring shapes and defines the bone structure leaving the face looking chiseled and snatched!” We knew we loved her!
Amrezy’s Go-To Makeup Products
For Amrezy, liquid lipsticks are a must-have. She likes to wear them because they are super long-lasting, and she can go for hours without reapplying. (Like, seriously, who wants to constantly reapply lipstick, right?) She also says, “I find that liquid lipsticks are very versatile. They can be easily worn in both daytime/nighttime.”
Her go-to lipstick color is Baked, from her newest collection. Which she says is her “favorite color from the Amrezy Collection. It goes with everything and is definitely a staple for [her].”
She also said, “My go to everyday makeup would be golden/bronze tones on face and eyes, paired with a nude lip. [And my] absolute ride or die product would have to be Laura Mercier translucent powder, it helps set my makeup and lasts all day. I couldn’t go a day without it.”
