Bilal certainly put on quite the show. Following a touching introduction from comedian Dave Chappelle the jazz singer flaunted his stellar pipes alongside The Roots & Erykah Badu in honor of the late Prince. The high pitch Bilal can achieve with his voice is nothing short of hypnotic, and let’s just say — the ladies sure took notice!
He even took his show to the floor, grinding as he closed off of his performance with a high falsetto. We know you were taking notice of him unbuttoning his white shirt as he serenaded the crowd. My, oh my! Bilal’s ripped sleeves showcasing his tattooed biceps were also quite the treat.
Bilal is clearly unafraid to take things to the next level, even somewhat channeling James Brown with his funkadelic vibe and free spirit. He has made quite a name for himself in the industry, previously collaborating with renowned artists such as Common, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar and many more throughout his blossoming career. That is definitely a brag-worthy resume if you ask us.

Bilal made an appearance on Kendrick’s 2015 album To Pimp A Butterfly on the songs “Institutionalized” and “These Walls,” taking home a Grammy Award for his collaboration on the latter. Kendrick also returned the favor by collaborating on his album In Another Life. Just to give you a little context, the Neo soul crooner has also been compared with the late and great Marvin Gaye — and we can see why.
