If you were hoping to see Jaime and Brienne to just hug it out and reminisce on old times, you’re out of luck. Their long-awaited reunion is going to be intense and will definitely rip Jaime/Brienne shippers apart.
“Should I fail to persuade the Blackfish to surrender, and if you attack the castle, Honour compels me to fight you,” Brienne tells Jaime in the promo. Nooooooo. Jaime looks taken aback at Brienne’s words.
The last time Jaime and Brienne were together, he had gifted her with new armor, a Valyrian sword and Podrick. He sent her off so she could fulfill oath to Catelyn Stark. But let’s be honest, he was kind of protecting her from the sh*tstorm that was about to hit King’s Landing.
Well, it sounds like we might have to see Brienne and Jaime fight each other again, which would be both amazing and devastating. “I love Cersei, and if I have to slaughter every Tully who ever lived to get back to her, that’s what I’ll do,” he says. Mega sigh.
Oh, Jaime. When will you learn that Cersei is bad, bad news? He’s going to get himself killed because of her. Game of Thrones airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
