D’Angelo Russell Doesn’t Deserve To Be Hated On For Nick Young’s Mistakes

It is absolutely absurd that D'Angelo Russell is being booed and blacklisted as a bad person when he made an innocent mistake -- unlike Nick Young, who WILLINGLY cheated on his fiancee, Iggy Azalea, and then BRAGGED about it. D'Angelo Russell, 20, may be the rookie point guard for the Los Angeles Lakers this season, but his hazing period needs to come to an end ASAP. Why, you ask? Well, maybe it's because he's only being hazed by the entire world for something that could have been completely avoided if Nick Young, 30, had decided to keep it in his pants.

Okay society, apparently we need to recap what the definitions of right and wrong are. Should D’Angelo have (allegedly) recorded his teammate, Nick, while they were chatting in their private hotel room? No, he probably shouldn’t have done that. But, did he willingly leak the video with the intention of betraying Nick and putting his poor choices on blast? No, he didn’t. So, why are we punishing him as if this was some spiteful, malicious act?

Let’s face it: D’Angelo Russell is not the bad guy in this scenario. Sure, he made a mistake, but his mistake was nothing compared to what Nick did. Nick willingly, maliciously, and intentionally cheated on his fiancee — the woman he planned on spending the rest of his life with. He went behind her back, hooked up with a 19-year-old girl, and then thought it was such a great choice that he felt the need to brag about it to his boys.

So, why are we booing D’Angelo for his innocent mistake, when Nick is the one who should be put on blast for being a two-timer? This is my plea to stop the madness. D’Angelo is not the villain, he does not deserve to be punished. In my own personal opinion, he’s the better man in this scenario — by a LONG SHOT.

Since the videos of Nick confessing to his sins have been leaked, the only person society has burned at the stake is D’Angelo. He was booed when he ran onto the court on March 30 at the Lakers game, and as HollywoodLife.com previously and EXCLUSIVELY reported, his own team has turned their backs on him for being a so-called “rat.” Apparently having a little too much fun with a camera phone is a lot worse than being the kind of man who can’t keep his promise to the woman he claims to love.

If you want to side with Nick and back up a guy who clearly doesn’t have his priorities straight, then that is your life choice. But the fact of the matter is that D’Angelo is the one who deserves our support right now, both on and off the court, and he’s already apologized for what really wasn’t even his own fault. Give the kid a break, world.
