‘Pretty Little Liars’ Recap: One Of The Liars Suffers A Pregnancy Scare

On the March 1 episode of 'Pretty Little Liars,' the girls kept quiet about Emily almost getting run over outside the diner because they didn't want anyone else to get hurt. But keeping their mouths shut actually backfired! Aria nearly got burned alive at Hanna's bridal shower, and one of the liars suffered a pregnancy scare. A lot of crazy stuff happened on the March 1 episode of Pretty Little Liars. For starters, one of the liars revealed she suffered a pregnancy scare. And another suffered second-degree burns when "A" wreaked his/her ugly head during Hanna's (Ashley Benson) bridal shower. Oh yeah, and Toby (Keegan Allen) totally punched Caleb in the face for supposedly leaking information about Yvonne’s (Kara Royster) high school abortion. It was a wild week in Rosewood.

Let’s get right to the pregnancy scare. In a series of flashbacks, we discovered that during her sophomore year of college, Spencer (Troian Bellisario) thought she was pregnant with Toby’s baby. So much so that she actually took a pregnancy test and they freaked out about what their future with a baby might look like. Toby seemed excited about the possibility, while Spencer was anything but. And it caused major tension in their relationship. Could this be why they broke up? Only time will tell, but as evidenced by Spencer reliving the situation every time she came in contact with Toby tells us there are some unresolved feelings between the two of them.

And speaking of Spoby, Toby punched Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) in the face for supposedly leaking information about Yvonne’s abortion. We, as viewers, know Caleb didn’t really do it, but he didn’t tell Toby the truth because he wanted to protect him from the new “A.” Spencer eventually told Toby the truth, but not before her dad forbid her from seeing Caleb.

Then, at Hanna’s bridal shower, which Ashley threw in Lucas’ loft, Mona showed up uninvited. And that wasn’t the only reason the party got awkward. While playing a game of trivia, none of Hanna’s friends could recall how she met Jordan or how he proposed. When Hanna tried lightening the mood by playing some music from the iPad controller, everything went haywire and “A” pretty much lit a fire under Aria’s (Lucy Hale) ass. When she stood next to the fireplace, it erupted and gave her second-degree burns. Ezra (Ian Harding), of course, rushed to the hospital to be by her side. That is, until Liam showed up.

Other tidbits: Emily went on a hunt to find who almost ran her over outside the diner, Ezra asked Aria to be the co-author of his book, and Detective Tanner (Roma Maffia) asked Aria to come down and participate in a lineup so she could be ruled out as a suspect in Charlotte’s murder. And based on some details Aria saw on a police report, it seems as though Mona was the one who called Charlotte from the diner, shortly before her murder.
