‘Curly Sue’ Star Slays On ‘The Voice’ Auditions — Watch

Alisan Porter, 34, the child star who starred in Curly Sue, is all grown up and ready for a music career. She auditions for The Voice, and all four judges are obsessed with her. Alisan starts out singing the classic “Blue Bayou” in her blind audition, and Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Pharrell immediately turn around when she hits a high note. Man, she’s got pipes. Christina Aguilera takes a little longer to turn around, but she can’t resist Alisan’s talent. Alisan gets a standing ovation at the end of her performance!

Christina even gets up to hug Alisan and sits at her feet. “Remember who sat up on stage and worshipped you,” Christina says as she walks away. Alisan and Christina are kindred spirits. They were both on Star Search!

Before Alisan drops the bombshell that she’s actually the girl who played Curly Sue, she reveals that music is her passion. The judges are shocked to learn Alisan is a former child star! “Shut up. No way,” an astonished Adam says when he finds out about Alisan’s past.

Alisan rose to fame by taking on the title role in 1991’s Curly Sue. She’s also recognized for her role in the 1989 film Parenthood. Leaving her acting days behind her, Alisan’s ready for her journey on The Voice.

Christina raves over Alisan’s talent and knows she’s going to go far. “I want to be a part of your history,” Christina says. Adam even goes so far as to say, “You’re going to win The Voice.” Who will Alisan choose?! Season 10 of The Voice premieres Feb. 29 on NBC.
