Ariel Winter Proudly Flaunts Breast Reduction Scars At SAG Awards: ‘I’m Not Ashamed’

Ariel Winter is such a role model! Not only is she hilarious on ABC's 'Modern Family,' but she's proud to show off her imperfections. At the Jan. 30 SAG Awards, she flaunted her breast reduction surgery scars and she says it's because she's 'not ashamed.' After Ariel Winter exposed her breast reduction surgery scars on the red carpet at the Jan. 30 SAG Awards, many wondered if she had suffered a wardrobe malfunction. But the Modern Family star took to Twitter to set the record straight -- there was no malfunction. She's just very proud of her body: surgery scars and all!

“Guys there is a reason I didn’t make an effort to cover up my scars!” Ariel, 18, tweeted after the awards show. “They are part of me and I’m not ashamed of them at all. :)”

As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Ariel underwent breast reduction surgery on June 4, 2015. At 5′ 1″, she went from a 32F breast size to a 34D. “I got it for myself. I can’t even really put it into words about how amazing it feels to really feel right,” she told Glamour after the surgery. “Now I can wear all styles of dresses and all styles of things! I don’t always have to pick the tightest, most formfitting dress I can find … I’m excited to finally actually feel confident and not just appear confident.”

Good for her! Ariel definitely appeared confident at the SAG Awards, where she wore an open-backed dress.
