‘Drake & Josh’ Reunion Is Officially Happening On ‘Grandfathered’

It's a Christmas miracle come early -- Drake Bell will be guest starring on 'Grandfathered,' alongside Josh Peck. It's the question we have been wondering since Josh Peck joined Grandfathered as the son of John Stamos: would Drake Bell make some sort of an appearance? The guys, who of course starred side-by-side on Nickelodeon's Drake and Josh from 2004 to 2007, and did two TV films: Drake & Josh Go Hollywood and Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh.

Drake will play a “flashy tech investor” that Gerald (Josh Peck) and Vanessa (Christina Milian) hope to pitch their app to, Fox revealed in a press release on Nov. 24. The episode is steeled to air this Spring.

We kind of had a feeling this would be happening, as Josh has admitted over the years that he is definitely down for a reunion of the show. “I would be down! I think people are always sort of begging for some sixth season of Drake & Josh and whatnot,”Josh told MTV over the summer at ATX TV Festival. “To just pick it back up without ever acknowledging that there was a 10-year gap might be a little odd — because we definitely put on some years, but if they figured out a really cool fun way to bring back the entire cast and do, I don’t know a three episode mini-series or something, that would be dope. I’ll go work at the movie theater again.”

He also joked he’d do it this time around “shirtless and maybe pantsless” since well, he has quite a different figure these days. “What’s amazing to me is the longevity of that show,” he added “How it’s still gaining an audience because of the reruns, like our little brothers and sisters are now falling in love with it.”
