In case you didn’t already know from reading pretty much every interview he’s done while promoting Purpose, Justin is still totally in love with Selena. Well, sort of. He’s made it very clear, numerous times, that he still cares about her in a way that no one else may ever truly understand.
“I’m proud of the woman she is today,” Justin gushed when Billboard asked him to comment on his ex-girlfriend. However, he then continued on about the torrid love affair they had for years by sharing, “When you love someone that much, even if something comes between you, it’s a love that never really dies.”
Sound familiar? Of course it does. On Nov. 3 he said something eerily similar to Access Hollywood about Selena, confessing that she was his “first real love.” After admitting that they’ve gone their “separate ways,” the “Sorry” singer also said, “I love her and I want her to be awesome, but there are things that remind me of her.”
