‘The Vampire Diaries’ Recap: Bonnie Brings Back [Spoiler] From The Dead

Halloween is the night of the living dead right? Well that's definitely the case on 'The Vampire Diaries.' Thanks, Bon Bon. On All Hallows Eve, it's no surprise that The Vampire Diaries kids headed to yet another ball, this time it was a "Heaven and Hell" theme. However, it was more of a babysitting date for Caroline (Candice King) and Stefan (Paul Wesley), who still couldn't make any physical contact, and had to watch Heretics to makes sure they weren't killing innocent kids. Normal date night, right?

When Lily (Elizabeth Blackmore) and the Heretics found out Damon (Ian Somerhalder) had found Oscar then lost him (naturally, Valerie hadn’t told him she killed him), they decided they would kill innocent students until they got him back. So, Bonnie(Kat Graham), Alaric and Damon worked hard to use the stone spell to bring back the dead — but Jo’s body took a back burner to Oscar’s. After Damon found her dead body, he told Lily he was “missing” and her Heretics started killing innocent people until he was alive. But the stone did work and they brought him back to life — but he wasn’t that fun stoner Oscar we loved from last week.

Life Love & Death

He started feeding on everyone in sight and was basically a ripper now. Damon hit in the head: Lily’s favorite sons were rippers. But he did get Elena’s body out of it — and got Tyler Lockwood to return to take away the coffin. (Lookin good, Ty!) So now Damon’s a complete sap, writing in a journal to Elena and well, he’s pretty much Stefan. #SorryNotSorry

Meanwhile, Stefan and Caroline’s love story was still budding but she wasn’t thrilled he hadn’t come face to face with Valerie yet, plus she needed him to ask her to undo the spell so she could touch him again. Instead, they just decided to threaten Nora by holding her girlfriend, Mary Louise hostage — and yup, true love won and she broke the spell. They finally got to get it onnn in the dorm.

Speaking of getting it on, Enzo still hadn’t with Lily, since he found out that she wanted Oscar back for “the love of her life,” Julian. So naturally, he decided to team up with Valerie to keep him away.

And then there was Alaric and Bonnie, who spent their night working on waking up Jo. And well, it worked — yup, she opened her eyes. We’re not sure what the consequences will be but according ot the three-year flash forward, Alaric does have twins, and one is named Josie. However, his friendship with Damon isn’t so there anymore.

So, do you think Jo will stay alive? Let us know.
