Guy Pearce & Kate Mestitz Split After 18 Years Of Marriage — So Sad

Guy Pearce and Kate Mestitz have just announced that they are ending their marriage after almost two decades together but they promise that they are still good friends. HollywoodLifers, are you shocked? Guy Pearce and Kate Mestitz are over. The 48-year-old star couple have shocked their fans all over the world with news that they are breaking up after 18 years together. Although it's not known why they are breaking up, in a statement the couple released on Oct. 13, they said they will continue to "support one another and be the best of friends."

Guy released this statement: “Kate and I will always love and support one another and be the best of friends. No one knows me like Kate does, and we’ll forever be appreciative of our mutual respect,” he said, per the Sydney Morning Herald. “We’ve both grown enormously through our relationship, but sadly, the time has come to part ways.” He even took to Twitter and posted a really sweet messages for this wife.

It sounds like maybe Guy’s busy career is to blame. Guy, whose last big film was The Rover, starring Robert Pattinson, married Kate in March of 1997 and he’s been in a lot of movies since but his career has really picked up recently. He is set to star alongside Kristen Stewart in the Equals, and Genius with Nicole Kidman and Jude Law. He’s a busy guyh because he’s also in another film called, Brimstone with Dakota Fanning, Kit Harrington and Rob will be in this too!
