Liam, who stars alongside Kate Winslet, 39, in The Dressmaker, opened up to E! about playing her love interest and filming those steamy scenes. “It’s always pretty awkward when you have to take off your pants in front of crew and other actors and all that stuff,” the Australian hottie said. We can totally understand where Liam is coming from. No one wants to strip down in front of strangers! (Well, maybe Liam’s ex Miley Cyrus, 22, would have a different opinion on that.) Luckily, things get better for Liam when he is in character. “During the scene, it’s fine,” he continued. “You don’t feel uncomfortable while the cameras are rolling.” But unfortunately, when the director yells cut that’s when things get “weird” for the actor. “As soon as it’s cut and you’re standing around in your underwear and you’re chatting to the crew and there’s guys doing stuff, that’s when it’s weird and uncomfortable,” Liam added.
While it might have been out of Liam’s comfort zone to film some scenes in The Dressmaker, we can’t wait to see it! The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sept. 14, and received great response from critics. The film revolves around Kate’s character, Tilly, who returns to a small town in Australia to take care of her unstable mother, while seeking revenge on people who did her wrong. She strikes up a romance with Liam’s sexy character, Teddy, and clearly things heat up!
