School was in session and Fetty gave the audience at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles a refresher course in trap music. Fetty’s hit, “Trap Queen,” includes elements of the electronic music genre, and the beat blends it effortlessly in with his aggressive hip hop delivery. The infectious song certainly got the crowd grooving during the June 28 ceremony, dancing along and getting fly like Fetty. His performance was hot, spitting fire that was matched by the flames blowing up behind him on stage!
This performance tops the last time Fetty appeared at an awards ceremony. He rocked his hit alongside Fall Out Boy during the MTV Music Awards on April 12, popping out of a “trap door” on the stage to join the band.
Fetty was a part of a night full of unbelievable performance from some of hip-hop’s biggest and brightest. The night’s performers included Chris Brown with Tyga, Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj, Big Sean, and more! No wonder why the BET Awards are a can’t-miss event. The night would also give Smokey Robinson the Lifetime Achievement award while music legend, Janet Jackson, was presented the first ever Ultimate Icon: Music Dance Visual award.
Kendrick Lamar Opens The BET Awards With A Shocking Performance Of ‘Alright’
The night of performances started with an explosive kick-off, thanks to Kendrick Lamar. The rapper gave a politically charged performance of “Alright,” showing his “hate” for the “po-o,” while standing on top of a vandalized police car! Incredible!
