Taylor Swift To Perform At The 2014 Thanksgiving Day Parade
Is there anything more American than Taylor Swift? Everyone’s favorite global superstar will perform during the 54th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
On Monday, Nov. 10, CBS announced that the parade will feature “performances by global superstar and seven-time Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift.”
In case you didn’t catch it, that’s plural “performances” — in other terms, Taylor will perform multiple songs! Best news ever.
Hosted by Entertainment Tonight co-host Kevin Frazier and The Insider‘s Thea Andrews, Taylor isn’t the only musician set to rock the special. Lucy Hale, KISS, Nick Jonas, The Vamps, Meghan Trainor, Hilary Duff, Idina Menzel and even Broadway performers are scheduled to appear.
“A CBS Thanksgiving tradition in its 54th year, the special will feature portions of the 88th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade live from New York City,” the network announced in a statement. “Additional performances during the parade will include the Broadway casts of the hit Broadway productions Matilda and Pippin.”
HollywoodLife.com reported, back in August, that T-Swift would be performing at the Thanksgiving parade, as part of her “1989” press tour.
The 2014 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade airs live on CBS on Thursday, Nov. 27.
