Prince’s ‘Saturday Night Live’ Performance

With Chris Rock as the SNL host plus Prince’s priceless performance — it truly felt like it was 1999! Prince definitely made up for his absence from the music scene. In true Prince style, the singer was clad in an over the top outfit, his signature color purple took center stage and he danced in front of a psychedelic background.

However, there was one aspect of Prince’s performance that was entirely new: his music!

With his incredible band, 3rdeyegirland guest performer, Lianne La Havas, the icon’s sound and style were purely Prince!

From the perfectly rhythmic sounds in “Kiss” to the head-banging beats of “Purple Rain,” Prince has always known how to create memorable music. These new tracks were no exception.

We’re thrilled the seven-time Grammy Award winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer has assumed his royal throne in the music industry!

Even Chris was honored to be introducing the legend! Before the performance, he said, “Ladies and gentlemen, you are so lucky tonight.”

What a night to be watching Saturday Night Live!

HollywoodLifers, what do you think of Prince’s new music? Did you like his Saturday Night Live performance? Tell us!
