Daniel Radcliffe Loses Virginity

Since Daniel was thrust into the spotlight at 11, he has never been one to shy away from a challenging role. In 2008 at the tender age of 17, he bared it all — literally — when he went full frontal on Broadway in Equus.

The super star came clean to ELLE about losing his virginity and entering into the world of rom-coms with his new Harry Met Sally esque flick, What If.

“I’m one of the few people who seem to have had a really good first time,” the British actor confessed when he was asked if there was anything he would do differently about losing his virginity.

Although Daniel does not mention who he lost his virginity with, he does admit to knowing her very well. “It was with somebody I’d gotten to know well.” Daniel recalled, “I’m happy to say I’ve had a lot better sex since then, but it wasn’t as horrendously embarrassing as a lot of other people’s were—like my friend who got drunk and did it with a stranger under a bridge.”

Daniel, who previously struggled with alcohol has been living a sober life since 2010.

In a follow-up questions, the actor was asked if he preferred sex without alcohol, to which he answered honestly. “For some people sex might be better drunk, but for me—and the person I’m doing it with—it’s much better sober.”

Daniel Radcliffe Stars In ‘What If’

In Daniel’s new role as leading man in What If, he plans on answering a question that has plagued generations, if men and women can be just friends.

When asked his personal opinion on the matter, Daniel told the magazine, “Absolutely. I have tons of women friends whom I have not had sex with nor do I have the impulse to.”

However, Daniel said that there is a second question that goes along with if they can be friends. He admitted that if they are sexually attracted to one another, things get more complicated.

“That’s a lot more difficult. Ultimately, in that situation, a conversation has to happen. For me it would, because otherwise I would go insane.” The actor said, “That’s the big difference, I think, between me and my character in the film. He’s able to live in this very painful land of uncertainty a lot longer than I would have been able to.”

We applaud Daniel for always taking risks with his roles and cannot wait to see him step into a rom-com role!
