Beacon Hills Ink
It all began when Lydia (Holland Roden) overheard the uninvited guests lurking in the shadows — she’s a banshee, remember? — then quickly fell victim to their wicked tattoo’d ways. In fact, several characters found themselves with a mysterious backwards “5” behind their ear, but they didn’t exactly have time to decipher what that meant before a nasty fight ensued.
We still don’t know much about the weird, shadowy figures haunting Scott (Tyler Posey) and his friends — except that I’m pretty sure they’re warm for Kira’s (Arden Cho) form — but I’m officially terrified of them. The way they move? Terrifying. Those giant swords? Terrifying. The fact that they weren’t even fazed by the guys’ shirtless-ness in the heat of battle? Beyond terrifying.
Thankfully, the sun came up — oddly quickly, but I won’t nitpick — and we discovered the shadowy enemies can only launch their attacks at night. Still, the biggest bombshell of all was saved for the very end of the episode, when Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) discovered that he was the one who left the message on the chalkboard, telling Barrow to kill Kira.
And… um… is Allison’s (Crystal Reed) dad dead? I feel like he’s not, considering we’ve seen him in promos for future episodes, but I still got really worried when he collapsed after the big battle. #PrayForPapaArgent, you guys. Trend it!
Alison’s Jealousy, Stiles’ Sexual Confusion & More Drama
Of course, even before the shadowy fellas came to play, the party already had its fair share of tension; in fact, I dare say the theme of the evening was basically “Black Light At Night, Shipper’s Delight.” For example: Though she eventually turned to Isaac (Daniel Sharman) for some ‘body painting,’ Allison initially shot daggers at Scott from the across the room as she noticed him cozying up to Kira.
Speaking of which, how much do you love Scott and Kira? I mean, I was a die-hard Scott-Allison supporter for years, but now that I’m seeing him with Kira and her with Isaac, I’m re-thinking the Beacon Hill status quo.
Now let’s talk about Stiles for a second. Not only was his dancing on point, but what was up with him and Caitlin? I wasn’t surprised to see them hook up, since she claimed to be into guys and girls, but are we just going to pretend that she didn’t ask him if he was also into guys? He didn’t even answer her! (‘Sterek’ fans, never give up hope!)
HollywoodLifers, this episode was nothing short of bananas, so drop a comment with your thoughts below: Do you like Scott with Kira and Allison with Isaac? What’s up with the tattoos? And, seriously, could Stiles have an eye for gentlemen?
