Anna Kendrick Stuns Kennedy Center Honors Crowd
It must be a daunting task to vocally honor the life of an icon, but Anna did just that when she sang some of Shirley MacLaine‘s biggest hits. It fits that they’d pick Anna to do the job, since Shirley — a multiple Emmy, Golden Globe, and Oscar-winning actress — also began her long career on stage before making the jump to film, just like Anna. Anna belted out “It’s Not Where You Start, It’s Where You Finish” from the Broadway show Seesaw and then joined Broadway stars Sutton Foster, Patina Miller, and Karen Olivo on “Lord Help Us, We Love Her.”
The other ladies did their jobs, but it was Anna who stole the show — no wonder the girl was nominated for a Tony Award at age 12! Is it time for Into The Woods — a film adaptation of the musical, in which Anna will sing the part of Cinderella — to come out yet? No?
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Were you as charmed by Anna as we were? Check out the video and let us know your thoughts!
