Paul Walker: Daughter Meadow Encouraged Me To Follow My ‘Calling’
Paul’s priorities changed when his daughter moved into his California home with him. “It’s so funny, my daughter now lives with me full-time and my original plan was to work up until I was 40, then reassess my life — even go in a completely different direction with things,” Paul told GQ U.K. in Aug. 2013 — just three months before his death.

“I missed out on a lot when I was younger because of this game [acting]. I think people tell you [that] you are a certain thing and so you miss out on a lot you would have otherwise experienced,” Paul shared with the magazine, explaining that he wanted to pursue other interests too. “Inside I still feel certain things calling me.”
Paul Walker: Daughter Encouraged Me To Keep Acting After Age 40
Paul’s daughter Meadow was a major supporter of his acting – and encouraged him to pursue his talents. “She keeps encouraging me to do all this stuff,” Paul told GQ U.K. “I thought at this point in my life, I would need to be home with her, but she wants me to keep acting so she can travel around the world with me. Would that be so bad?”
Paul found that he could experience fun and exhilarating new experiences through his adventurous movie roles — and he could still be at his daughter’s side so she could take it all in, too.
