Here’s what went down: After CeCe took a tumble during a charity fashion show — oh, that girl, clumsy ’til the end! — she was stricken with amnesia, leaving her friends and family to jog her memory. There were a few bumps in the process, like when CeCe mistook Tinka (Caroline Sunshine) for her best friend, but everything turned out right in the end.
So, it was basically like the final episode of Full House, only CeCe didn’t need a translucent Olsen twin to restore her memory. But I guess that would have just been weird.
One of our favorite moments was when CeCe asked if Ty (Roshon Fegan) was her boyfriend. Both Zendaya and her brother were quick to set CeCe straight, but come on, you know you’ve thought about that potential pairing at least once during the show’s three-season run.
We also loved the final dance number, which was not only choreographed brilliantly, but it was also set to Zendaya’s “Remember Me.” It was the perfect way to end the episode… and the series.
Zendaya Talks ‘Dramatic’ Final Episode
Following the July 26 announcement that Disney Channel had decided to cancel its long-running sitcom — a total of 77 episodes were made, including a 90-minute special, Made In Japan — there wasn’t much time to put a series finale together. We recently spoke with Zendaya about what to expect from the last 30 minutes of Shake It Up. Ever.
“It’s not a crazy hour long episode or anything, but it is a dramatic episode,” she told us. “We go back to previous episodes and see clips from different stuff.”
