Kristen Stewart Cheating: Reason Behind The Affair

“Rob is well aware of why Kristen cheated on him. He understands that it wasn’t because of a lack of love. It was more so a fear of intimacy on Kristen’s part. Everyone takes on different experiences from their upbringings,” a friend of Rob’s tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.

Kristen’s parents’ marriage ended when her mother, Jules, filed for divorce in August 2012 — one month after Kristen’s affair was exposed. Could the lack of intimacy in her parents’ marriage have affected Kristen? So much so that she would cheat on Rob? That seems to be one theory that Rob believes.

Robert Pattinson Loves Kristen Stewart

Despite Kristen’s betrayal, though, Rob has forgiven her and still loves her, according to the source.

“The toughest thing for Rob was the betrayal, and losing his best friend,” says the source.

Luckily, there is hope on the horizon.

“[Rob] will trust again. But right now, a relationship isn’t what he’s looking for,” our source says.

That certainly explains why Rob ended things with Kristen’s friend and former co-star, Riley Keough, whom he was linked to since his split from K-Stew in June.
