‘America’s Got Talent’: Alexandr Magala Shouldn’t Have Been Cut

While Alexandr's sword-swallowing act did scare me, it was easily one of the most exciting acts on 'America's Got Talent' yet. So, you can imagine my shock when he was cut from the show on July 31. When Alexandr Magala was eliminated instead of Marty Brown on the second results show of America's Got Talent on July 31, my jaw dropped. After his incredible performance on July 30, I never expected him to be gone so soon.

‘America’s Got Talent’ — Alexandr Magala Cut From Show Prematurely

While I was watching Alexandr’s first live performance, I felt like I was watching him on a Vegas stage. His sword-swallowing and pole dancing (it’s not what you think) act was fun and exhilarating. Howard Stern got it right when he said that Alexandr’s act is “thoroughly dangerous and frightening.”

I was looking forward to seeing Alexandr top his previous acts. Every time he performed, I was on the edge of my seat in the best way possible.

When it came down to Alexandr, country crooner Marty, and 12-year-old singer Ciana Pelekai, I thought for sure that Alexandr would make it through. Of the three acts, Alexandr’s was by far the best.

So, when Alexandr and Ciana were eliminated instead of Marty, I was floored. Marty’s performance was, without a doubt, the worst of the night. Alexandr should have definitely made it to the semi-finals over Marty. In my opinion, Marty doesn’t have a Vegas act at all.

Alexandr had so much potential with his act and I just know his performances would have gotten bigger, better, and more insane. His exciting act will be missed. Maybe there’s a wildcard round where we might see him again? Let’s hope so!
